Klein Toys

The Theo Klein company was founded in 1949 by Theo Klein and his wife Maria Klein as a brush and broom factory. In 1956, the company manufactured the first coloured children's broom with plastic bristles with the idea of expanding the  available range of products. In retrospect, this idea was the starting point for a real success story. The first participation as an exhibitor at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1959 (with only 3 products: children's broom, hand brush and metal shovel) completed the move of the company into the toy industry. The subsequent rapid and ongoing expansion of Theo Klein GmbH was driven by the systematic development of products and constant additions to the range of toys.

Today, the medium-sized company is one of Europe's biggest producers of educationally stimulating toys and is a leader in many of its product segments. Theo Klein is a partner of the brands: BOSCH, MIELE, BRAUN, VILEDA, WMF. The company currently has around 150 employees at the two locations in Germany (Ramberg/Palatinate and 
Landau/Palatinate) and the three foreign subsidiaries in England, France and Spain. Alongside Klein's production operations in Germany, products are also manufactured by partners in China and the Czech Republic. Today the company is headed by the sons Claus-Dieter Klein and Martin Klein in the spirit created by their parents. In the years and decades to come, the Klein brand will continue to be a byword for high-quality educationally stimulating toys.
